What kind of artist are you?

Often times my students ask me, "Mrs. Peterson, what kind of artist are you?" In my spare time, I love to paint!! I typically work in acrylic and encaustic mediums. I choose these types of paint because they allow me to layer my work-- a process that I love. Throughout the summer months I enjoy showcasing my work in local exhibits and galleries. Here are some of my recent pieces.
